Description
This is a beautiful copy of the first US mono pressing of The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. One way you can tell it is a first pressing is the absence of the word "Mono" on the record label
Shrink wrap is in excellent shape. Original Columbia inner sleeve is included and is EX. Cover is conservatively graded VG+. "1" printed on bottom right of back cover.
Vinyl plays beautifully. Play tested conservative VG+ and visual strong VG+. There are some light scratches and scuffs - nothing that affects play. I put the vinyl in an antistatic sleeve to prevent any further scuffing.
Matrix:
XLP-58717-3D XLP-58718-2H
There appears to be a P on one side in the matrix indicating a Pitman press. This is further confirmed by the deep groove label on side 1. Pitman continued to use deep-groove vinyl in the early 1960's.
Record was ultrasonically cleaned.
The only thing that would make this better is if it had the original hype sticker !
