Description
Various- Fresh Sounds From Middle America cassette (FRESH TAPE 002)
Long considered the lesser of the Fresh Sounds From Middle America's 2 cassettes from Talk Talk Talk Talk magazine, the second Fresh Sounds may lack The Embarrassment, Get Smart and The Mortal Micronotz but it includes some of the most aggressively post punk music that 1982 Kansas had to offer. This cassette has been played about 2-3 times since 1982 and still plays great. The cassette is MINT-, the insert mini magazine is MINT to MINT- and the cover is VG+ due to a tear on the fold over of the cover.
The Buckthrusters are angular post punk with ties to The Embarassment (their bassist was The Embro's soundman)
The New Wave Brothers may be borderline embarrassing on New Wave Brothers' Rap, but turn in some fairly decent post punk with electronics on their other 2 songs.
Color Entertainment are a hidden treat, a band in the vein of post punks like Lilliput and The Raincoats.
Monte Montclaire is spoken work and avant backing for a long track.
The C. Lucas Experience are another secret find, early electronic post punk experimental music which is not so much songs as sound pieces and blips.
