Description
An original issue of Fritz Kreisler’s 1936 performance of the Beethoven Violin Concerto in a 6-disc album of 78 RPM records. Released in 1937, the Victor label is the “scroll” design (see photos). John Barbirolli conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The sixth disc is one-sided only.
The six 78 rpm records are in VG condition, by visual inspection. There are no visible or “feel-able” scratches or defects and no warping. These records are each in the album sleeves in the interior of the album, which are intact and whole. The labels are clean and unmarked, with slight spindle wear.
The album cover is rated as VG+. The front and back covers have some fading, but are otherwise unmarked. The binding of the album is intact with no tears. The inside of the front cover has the printed name of a former owner. All in all, this album is in a remarkably fine state of preservation.
