Geneses – From Genesis to Revelation, 1969 stereo LP un-boxed Decca SKL 4990 with lyrics insert. This is a decent example of the stereo LP From Genesis to Revelation by Genesis. It was released on the Decca label in 1969 – SKL 4990. The matrix numbers are ZAL 8839P-1W and ZAL 8840 P-2W. The record itself is in EX condition. There are a couple of ‘spider-marks’ by the spindle-holes and it has been played but it has been handled carefully and the playing surfaces are fine. Both labels are perfectly clean – no grubby marks, writing, stickers, grazes, etc. It is in its original blue-edged ‘Stereo’ lined inner-sleeve – that can be seen through the little hole in the top right corner of the back of the cover.
The laminated cover is not as good as the record. It has ring-wear on the front and general rubbing on both the front and more obviously on the back where there is no laminate. There is a bump in the bottom left corner – that has become a graze. I have shown this in close-up in my pictures below as that is the worse bit. I am grading the cover as VG. There are no rips, scribbles, stickers, grazes or other such faults. It has just lived / gone through a couple of house-moves etc over the last 40+ years squeezed into an over-full / over-tight album box where many of the covers also had similar rubbing. The cover still contains the original double-sided paper lyrics insert. This is just starting to yellow with age and there is a crease in the bottom right corner (when looking from the front). But again – there are no rips, stickers, writing etc.
