This first-ever 2LP pressing of Details by Frou Frou is pressed on a semi-translucent purple and tangerine mix, housed in a clear slipcase with printed cover art logos. Strictly limited to 3,000 individually numbered copies, it includes three bonus tracks, “Old Piano,” “Close Up,” and “Aeroplane,” and is mastered by Levi Seitz at Black Belt Mastering.
Nearly 25 years after its release, it feels like the world is still catching up to British electronic duo Frou Frou’s sole album. One of the few 2000s electronic albums whose majestic songwriting rivals its minutely intricate production, this 2002 album helmed by recording artist, singer, and producer Imogen Heap and songwriter, producer Guy Sigsworth elevated the genre past the Muzak-lite it had become and into a new era.
