THE OLD FASHIONED REVIVAL HOUR CHOIR DIRECTED BY DR. H. LELAND GREEN RUDY ATWOOD AT THE PIANO ANNE ORTLUND AT THE ORGAN Songs of praise that have blessed millions through the Old Fashioned Revival Hour are presented in this recording for your repeated enjoyment in years to come. Music has played a large part in the ministry of the broadcast throughout the 42 years of its existence. At first there was the congregation singing in the little church in Placentia, California where we broadcast by remote control over a 100 watt station in nearby Santa Ana. Part of the ceremony in those early days of radio was getting a signal from the engineer to take my hymn book and strike the carbon mike so it would work! And then God gave us the piano artistry of Rudy Atwood, the directing skills of Leland Green and the organ accompaniment of Anne Ortlund. Trained singers were assembled to sing the praises of the Lord and these added a whole new dimension to the expanding ministry of the broadcast as it went around the world. Today letters by the hundreds tell of hearts gladdened and comforted as friends listen to the music of the choir. Listeners write to tell how the music, delivered so sweetly by the choir, softened their hearts in preparation for the Gospel message. As you listen to this collection of favorites, let the music call you to quiet fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ in Whom so many have found eternal life. Dr. Charles E.
