Description
Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No.5
Wilhelm Furtwängler conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
UK HMV monoo pressing from the 50s.
Article-no.: ALP 1195. 10N/10N stampers.
Pre-owner wrote the date he received this with pen on front: as a Christmas present in 1955.
-
Condition Cover: G+ to VG. Fully laminated, scallopped flipback sleeve with shelf- and ring- wear. Lamination lift in several spots.
-
Condition Vinyl: Strong VG+. Surfaces show paperscuffs and light hairline marks from the rough original innersleeve.
I playgraded this in its entirety with a stereo cartridge and it still sounds really nice with no repetitive and comparably light
surface noise which, if course, is a bit easier recognizable in the quieter passages. Still, for 1955 copy this is in great shape still.
Should improve with a proper mono pick-up.

General Information:
- Shipping-rates may differ for different destinations, please check details below for more information or shortly adress me.
- I offer combined shipping for multiple purchases and I'll always send an invoice with correct rates shortly after auction-end.
- Unless you notify me in time, payment is expected within 5 days after receiving of invoice. If I don't at least hear from you in between, I'll send a non-payment notification through Ebay
afterwards.
- I use sturdy cardboard-boxes and cardboard-dividers, both specifically designed for the safe shipping of vinyl records.
- Most LPs receive new antistatic innersleeves (in addition to the original ones, which of course are also provided). I, however, don't add new sleeves, if the original ones seem fitting.

A note about my record-grading:
I usually only visually grade the LPs under stronCondition Cover: VG to VG+. Light general and ring wear. Condition Vinyl: Strong EX to NM. Played once or never. A couple of faint inuadible paperscuffs visible under strong light. Plays perfectly!g light and I only playgrade them ( i.e. the portions that seem to have signs of usage), if I can't be sure of their actual condition.
If records show stronger signs of soiling I'll professionally clean them (Okki Nokki RCM), but I'm not doing this if it's obviously only dust, as I know that collectors usually prefer their
very own way of record-cleaning.
My goal is to always decribe the records appropriately and I will name every visible and/or audible defect in my detailed description. If regardless of my precautions
you should ever be dissatisfied with the condition of a record, please contact me before leaving negative or neutral feedback to give me the chance to resolve your query.
I'm confident, however, that this will hardly ever be the case. I've been selling records for many years now and so far complaints fortunately have been the utter exception!
