Description
Very nice copy of this rare original HMV His Master`s Voice Elektrola WALP 527 record. Wilhelm Furtwangler conducts the Vienna Philharmonics playing Beethoven`s 7th Symphony.
Cover front: NM. Only the very slightest hint of ring/shelfwear, very few tiny mini-spots on cover front. Absolutely non-detracting. Cover lovers will be fine with this front.
Cover back: Vg+. Some minor dirt and ringwear, really not much, otherwise clean. Bottom right a very small taped corner tear. See photo, nothing bad.
Spines are fine and lettering is well readable.
Vinyl is vg+, very conservative grading, others would surely grade better. Deep black, glossy and shiny. Only a very few visible hairlines and superficial marks. No repeating audible scratches.
Labels are perfect on both sides, no spindle marks.
Record was playgraded on a Garrard 301 and an Ortofon SPU cartridge. On this equipment the record plays excellent, only the common occasional single tics and tocs here and there and the typical light surface noise you can hear on almost every record of that age.
This is a very beautiful copy of this rare record. A very nice collector`s item as well as a fine record to listen to.
Attention: This record comes from the first owner and has NOT been cleaned in any way! It comes just like it was found in the collection. A good cleaning would surely improve the record in a way a good cleaning always does.
