'WONDERWALL'
RARE 1968 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
This copy contains a dedicated mono mix which differs from the more common stereo version.
On the dark green Apple label: APCOR 1
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' statement but omit the 'An EMI Recording' text.
Housed in a fully laminated mono cover & with the original insert.
Complete with original die-cut, matt black inner-sleeve.
Matrix nos: APCOR 1A-1 & APCOR 1A-1
(AP 1A-1 & AP 1B-1 are also visible but are crossed out).
Stampers: 1/M & 1/M
Disc weight: 151g
Condition
Labels: EXCELLENT
Visual: VERY GOOD
Both surfaces and clean & glossy but do bear some noticeable minor surface marks and the occaisional light scratch, but nothing deep or 'feelable'. Inspection beanth halogen light reveals numerous wispy paper hairlines but no further significant wear. Both sides lie 100% flat o the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Play: VERY GOOD
This copy has been frequently played and some intermittant light background is audible in quieter sections, together with an occaisional light click. However, I did not detect any evidence of groovewear distortion, heavy clicks or any further major faults anywhere on this rare version.
Cover
EXCELLENT -
A clean, bright & strong example which bears just a few small spine creases and light storagewear. All corners are square & unbumped and both opening edges are undamaged. Both seams are strong and unsplit and the spine is fully worded.
Insert: EXCELLENT -
Some light handling marks but no creases, tears or missing paper.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT -
Clean & flat with just a small left seam-split but no other tears or faults.
