"G. I. JOURNAL" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISC. ONE COMPLETE 30 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAM ON THIS 16 INCH, VINYL, 33 1/3 RPM DISC. THIS DISC WAS ISSUED TO ARMED FORCES RADIO STATIONS FOR BROADCAST TO U. S. TROOPS OVERSEAS AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. VERY RARE!
"G. I. Journal" radio program #123 from December 4, 1945 starring JACK CARSON, LUCILLE BALL, ARTHUR TREACHER, MEL BLANC, ELVIA ALLMAN, STAN KENTON & HIS ORCHESTRA, ANITA O'DAY
Program includes a funny skit where Jack Carson & Arthur Treacher "Go West" to become cowboys. Jack Carson tries to swoon Lucille Ball as a cowboy. Skit also includes Mel Blanc as "Private Sad Sack". Very funny!
Songs by Stan Kenton & His Orchestra include "Paper Doll", "St. Louis Blues" vocal Anita O'Day, "Harlem Folk Dance"
Program was meant to be broadcast to servicemen overseas, Excellent World War Two Era nostalgic broadcast! Program is complete and 30 minutes
