Description
Gaa 'Alruanes Alptraum' LP (Germany, Garden Of Delights, Catalogue #LP 025) Brand new/unplayed copy of limited Garden Of Delights label LP edition (edition of 1000 copies only) of previously unreleased 1975 sessions (Side A) and 1984-1987 sessions (Side B) by legendary Krautrock band Gaa (famous for their very rare 1973 Kosmiche Krautrock Klassic "Auf Der Bahn Zum Uranus" LP.)
(NOTE: NUMBERED, LIMITED EDITION OF 1000 COPIES ONLY!)
'From the German state of Saarland, Gäa have become quite known in collectors’ circles thanks to their legendary space rock LP "Auf der Bahn zum Uranus" from 1974. In early 1975 they recorded three tracks for an unfinished second album. These simply brilliant tracks are the basis or this disc; they show how mature and inventive the band was at that time. The cover artwork is again by Eduard Bell and shows the Alruna, a legendary earth spirit from Germanic mythology and a rough counterpart to Gäa, the ancient Greek goddess of the Earth.'
(On their 1973 "Auf Der Bahn Zum Uranus" album): 'Nothing is known about this obscure and classic band, except their sole album released on the rare and sought after Kerston label. Gaa were a typically cosmic Krautrock band, who like Mythos or Virus, infused their Teutonic art with lots of guitars, keyboards and much in the way of Pink Floyd styling. With enigmatic lyrics in German, lengthy largely instrumental tracks with all the classic moves, spaced-out organs - the works - the "Train to Uranus" is a magical album, a Krautrock classic!' - The Crack In The Cosmic Egg
