GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : il formidabile quintetto jazz Australiano in un'incredibile colonna sonora. Sia la sofisticata tecnica compositiva con soluzioni mai banali che la loro abilità strumentale viene esaltata nei sei brani presenti nell'album. Grandi assoli di pianoforte, sax e batteria. Dal jazz modale con le sue tipiche dissonanze - "Kate Did" (b2) è una sua preziosa gemma - a ritmiche energiche con Fender Rhodes o piano elettrico Wurlitzer come nei due trascinanti brani jazz-funk : "Removalists Theme" (a3) e "Carter" (b1). 

Notes : the formidable Australian jazz quintet in a stunning soundtrack. Both the sophisticated compositional technique with never banal conceptions and their instrumental prowess is highlighted in the six tracks on the album. Great piano, sax and drum solos. From modal jazz with its typical dissonances - "Kate Did" (b2) is a precious gem of this kind - to lively rhythms with Fender Rhodes or Wurlitzer electric piano as in the two rousing jazz-funk tracks: "Removalists Theme" (a3) and "Carter "(b1).
