Galaxy's
12" LP - US release
"Day Without The Sun"
Sky Queen Records SQR1677, Stereo, 1976.

Those of you in the know are already aware that this is one of the holy grails of prog/psych/space/hard rock by a band from Jacksonville, FL, and you also know that counterfeit copies of this great LP, made in Europe, do exist.

We are positive that this album is the real deal and not a counterfeit because:
1) Cardboard jacket is heavy and inside is brown in color;
counterfeit jacket is lighter in weight & color (pressed in Europe).
2) Writing on spine is backwards (mirror-writing); counterfeit copies have normal writing on spine.
3) 7's in dead wax do not have a line through them (written American style, not European style).

Vinyl = NM.
Vinyl is minty, with just some light sleeve scuffs.  Black/silver Sky Queen labels: Side 1 - NM- with one faint mark that possibly is a spindle trail; Side 2 - VG+ with one faint mark that possibly is a spindle trail, and a few small areas where the top layer of the label "lifted" off, probably from the liquid spill described under Jacket grading. 
Jacket=VG+. Overall the appearance of the jacket is excellent, with just a hint of beginning whitish ring wear/rubbing. All seams are tight and intact; corners are a bit bumped. The cover did sustain contact at some time with a brownish liquid (coffee, cola?) on the spine and top part of the jacket causing an indentation in the upper left front in the black area, which makes it pretty unobtrusive, and small indentation on back top right. Front has a slight tint of light brown color to the some of the white area closest to the spine (looks worse in pic, it is actually just within 1" of spine, but this camera sometimes picks up shadows that cast a brown tone that isn't actually on the item), and a few small, light brown spots elsewhere, but you have to look really close to see them; a little bit of very light brown liquid stain area on back cover in the white stripe next to the spine.
