Description
GALIE
Galie II, 1986 (vinyl LP, original press)
New, sealed.
GALIE are a Mexican outfit who got together in 1979 but released their first album some twenty odd years later. With the Spanish guitar well at the forefront alongside some enchanting flute parts, their brand of acoustic prog has a strong Latin feel although it is still highly keyboard based. Their eponymous album (81) as well as "Galie 2" (86) are both quite original: as romantic as Latin bands can be, featuring remarkable musicianship and effective song writing - elegant and warm, seasoned with wonderful classical piano throughout. Although their debut album has been re-released on CD, the second only seems to be available in its original LP version.
