COBWEB RECORDS
According to the good people of Airship, this is an Airship record that was released on the Cobweb label... the matrix number actually has the AP163 visible but crossed out.
I have found an email sent to us by Richard at Airship, who remembers the two LPs by Gallery, and believes that only 100 copies were made.
Some copies on rare occassions had the title of the record stuck to the top right front of the totally plain white sleeve (as in this instance), comes with insert.
All tracks are instrumental... at time of listing, we have other records by this group, make sure you check them out... they are all virtually impossible to find!
How to describe the music? It's not really folk, rock or jazz, nor is it really experimental, new wave or electronic... (some of the description found on other websites used to label the music)... it is a kind of light instrumental fusion of styles, with some long intricate tracks having a very light prog feel verging somewhere between a classical/jazz/folk/rock style maybe a little experimental... but all rather light and as I said, instrumental. Not a prog rock monster fuzz thing, a punk new wave experimental avante garde outing or a whimsically acid folk delicacy... but, very very rare.
Don Hill - Wurlitzer and Crumar electric pianos, grand piano, JEN polyphonic synthesizer, string machine, Korg sythesizers, Korg bass sythesizer, handclaps.
