"Diana in the Autumn Wind'' - Original USA pressing of GRC Records #901, vinyl LP record. Not a reissue, second pressing or counterfeit. The Gap Mangione Trio: (electric piano, organ, piano), Steve Gadd (drums) and Tony Levin (bass). Helped out here by Chuck Mangione (conducting), Clark Terry, Joe Farrell, Snooky Young, Frank Wess, Sam Brown, Mike Manieri, Jerome Richardson, and many more steller players.

Nice rare 1960s indie label LP. Jazz with a pop/rock influence. A mix of small combo and big band sounds, always swinging and with strong rhythms thoughout. "Long Hair Soulful" is a GREAT jazzy organ Mod groover. "Diana in the Autumn Wind'' has been sampled for Slum Village and Jaylib /Madlib. Lots of other samples on here, and more waiting to be discovered.
VINYL: is what other people call VG++ and what I call VG+ (being conservative). Just I'm living in the past..... Record has just a few light marks; only one is significant and it can't be felt and makes no noise except for ONE single tick on one revolution. Other than that it plays pretty much NM-. LABELS: Side 1 is NM. Side 2 is VG++ with some circular rings that are pretty inconsequential. COVER: Textured cover. Bottom seam and spine are NM. Top seam has 1/2" split at opening and last 3" by spine have worn paper at edge (wear is not through to cardboard). Front cover is NM-. Back cover has a verys small stain at upper right and a weakened (bumped) corner at upper left (which caused the small split at opening).
