AMBER - AR-8999 - Tomorrow's Soul Sound / Sometimes I Wonder

Vinyl VG5 - EX6 with viusal light scuffs and some loss of gloss. Labels are very clean with no writing and only slight wear. The sound quality is very good with no overpowering pops, clicks, or groove wear. (CLICK ON LINKS BELOW TO HEAR AN ACTUAL FULL LENGTH RECORDING OF BOTH SIDES OF THIS 45).

Harbinger Complex' only other single on Brent "I Think I'm Down" which was included on the classic Nuggets box set is much easier to find and has recent sales of $75 posted on Popsike. This is the harder to find release on the extremely rare AMBER label. Harbinger Complex played around the Bay Area in 1966 and 1967 and opened up for many SF Bay Area headliners the likes of Big Brother & the Holding Company. They also opened up for The Yardbirds, Howling Wolf, Neil Diamond, and Van Morrison at a roller skating ring in San Leandro on his first trip to San Francisco. Their sound is somewhat like the Byrds fuzzy electric psych folk.

The last AMBER 45 I sold on eBay was by "Peter Wheat and the Breadmen" another Fremont, CA band, sold for $711.00! (They are also on the Yardbirds bill below.) This label had notoriously low production and distribution. Harbinger Complex also appeared on a Mainstream Records compilation called "With Love a Pot of Flowers."
