Lovely copy of the rare original 1972 first pressing of the legendary Harlem Bush Music “Taifa” LP by the Gary Bartz Ntu Troop, on Milestone MSP-9031. Classic funky spiritual jazz dedicated to John Coltrane and Malcolm X. This copy has a few marks on the disc but it actually plays quite beautifully. I’m calling it VG but it plays VG+. The first side plays pretty much flawlessly. I don’t hear a single tiny tick. The second side starts with a click during the very first part of Drinking Song. It clicks during the opening vocal part, and stops as the band comes in and doesn’t come back. There is a touch of light crackle during the short spoken parts of the third track, Parted. Aside from those moments the whole record plays beautifully. For me it is a truly beautiful copy despite the small flaws. The cover has a promo cutout corner, but no damage at all. Really only the slightest signs of gentle use to be seen. Really clean and crisp. A very nice original copy.
