Original German first pressing from 1980 on schwann/MUSICA MUNDI, VMS 2063, stereo, yellow label. Recorded in the Jesus-Christ-Church, Berlin, Nov. 22nd/23th 1979. G.Karr performs on an incredible sounding double-bass manufactured by the AMATI violin-makers of CREMONA in the year 1611. Rare and great double-bass performance by G.Karr !

Tracks: side 1: S.Koussevitzky/double-bass concerto op.3 side 2: D.Dragonetti/ double-bass concerto A-major – N.Paganini/Bravour-Variations

Condition: the record looks mint- to mint-- in daylight and under a normal light, only under a real strong light you can see some very very light superficial papersleeve-lines wich are of course non-feelable, therefore I lower the visual grading to ex/ex-. The record plays in mint- to mint-- all of the time. The laminated cover is in mint-.

Grading & Cleaning:

• the record has been cleaned on my professional HANNL record cleaning machine

• after that I playgraded it (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN:TU-3 Super Fine Line ( please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment )

• I also visually graded the record under a strong light

• only an unplayed record is mint, the highest grading for a used record is mint- ! My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg.

• cleaned records are stored in a new deluxe innersleeve and they are placed in a new PVC protection-sleeve !
