I CAN'T remember if he was in or out of Lizzy at the time - probably out - but this is a damn fine album befitting this great guitarist. He started off his career as a pioneering jazz rocker with Skid Row and then later with Colosseum but he'll probably be most fondly remembered for his on-off relationship with Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy. Moore and Lynott would constantly battle but their shared heritage made them inseparable. Indeed, this album - his second as a solo artist - finds Lynotts fingerprints all over it from songwriting to playing and singing. Sure, its a pot pourri of styles and influences but the quality is exceptionally good from quirky jazz rock to beautiful ballads and all points in between. The highlights for me are a radically different interpretation of Lizzy's 'Don't Believe A Word'. Elsewhere you've got two other Lynott compositions including the definitive version of 'Parisienne Walkways'.
Guest musicians include Don Airey, Simon Phillips and Brian Downey. Natch Lynott's vocals and bass are all over a number of tracks. Produced by Chris Tsangarides.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Cover: Issued in a beautifully designed fully laminated cover - retains nice gloss. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff, square and totally uncrushed. Impossible to find like this after 38 years. Grades as MINT-!
