Description
Hi there. Thanks for stopping by.
Today, I have a rare 2024 single release by Gary Numan: "Down In The Park/Metal (Live)" to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the albums "The Pleasure Principle" and Tubeway Army's "Replicas." It's beautifully signed by Numan on the front cover in silver ink. This is a limited tour edition recorded during the (R)evolution tour at the Roadhouse in London on October 25, 2019. The single is #1496 of 2000. 100 copies were on sale at every show but only some were signed by Gary. A limited number were sold on the Numan website. It also includes the "error" card which explains that the date printed on the cover was incorrect. I have heard complaints that it was not included with EVERY single.
The 7" single comes in a plastic outer sleeve and was not sealed in shrinkwrap. Each record is unique with a yellow and light blue ink-spot style color merge. Yellow with a small patch of light blue is visible on one side of the vinyl and light blue with a small patch of yellow is more visible on the other side. The contrasting colors slightly leak through the opposite side, making each record yellow and blue on both sides, but with one color more dominant (yellow with blue and blue with yellow.) Although, some copies have been found to be fully yellow on one side and fully light blue on the other.
The record has never been played and was only removed from the plastic sleeve for these pics. It is in superb condition. Please note the pics of each corner. They are very sharp and untouched. There are no bends, folds, tears, writing, etc. on the single cover. There are very light white marks on the edges that appear to be from manufacturing/cutting of the sleeve. Only superficial. Numan fans, it's time to grab one of these. Very limited and would be an awesome gift for any Numan collectors. Stellar copy.
