Description

GARY NUMAN “The Pleasure Principle” 1979 UK Import 1st Press. Vinyl NM, Cover EX.

A 1979 import copy. The vinyl looks pristine with no marks Near Mint. The thin “import cover” has a shadow of ring wear, a small crease or two, tiny shelf wear on the bottom edge but no tears of losses, EX. The full color printed inner sleeve has no splits or tears. The “rounded corners” testify that this is a first UK pressing. Overall, a beautiful copy from the first batch of imports distributed in the U.S.

The song “Cars” remains a standard bearer for probably the biggest synth-pop world wide hit. This album was the first release for Gary Numan as a solo artist. #1 in England, and the cut “Cars” was an important song for the developing New Wave radio stations here. Eventually, “Cars” made it to top 10 pop in the U.S. This synth opus holds up today, and remains fresh. Here is a first state UK copy of the Lp for your collection.
