GENE VINCENT LP 1957 SOUNDS LIKE GENE VINCENT
On offer is The GENE VINCENT LP entitled SOUNDS LIKE GENE VINCENT released in the UK in mono on the CAPITOL label CAPITOL T 20453 in 1957.
This is a LOVELY original UK Gene Vincent LP from 1957 in EXCELLENT condition as follows:
· The front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback cover sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition with a nice clean front and back. There is a minor corner tear (lower right hand at the front) and a seam split at the very top (above the words SOUNDS) – but these do not detract from the overall lovely condition of the cover. There is NO creasing or ring-wear or writing. The spine is in great condition as well. A sticker – placed by the record store in York who originally sold this LP [Mackenzie’s of Bridge Street] – is still on the back.
· The disc is housed in a plain white sleeve.
· The disc labels are very clear and clean: there are some tiny spindle marks.
· The disc is visually in EX TO EX- condition with a lovely sheen and clear, clean vinyl. It has some minor hairline and surface marks BUT NOTHING THAT AFFECTS PLAY.
· The disc sounds nice and plays EX throughout. I have just test played the disc for the first time in many years and it sounds great on my BOSE hi-fi system. A feature that really impresses is that the disc is very quiet indeed between tracks [always a good indicator of an LP that has been well looked after].
· The LP has been extremely well looked after and has been kept by me in a plastic sleeve for over 30 years which has ensured it has kept its fresh look.
