GENESIS ~ FOXTROT UK 1058 Large Hatter Ultra Rare UK Label Import Variant!!

Up for sale here:

GENESIS ~ FOXTROT Charisma CAS 1058. Ultra Rare UK Import version with etched matrix CAS 1058 A B.  Most importantly with an extremely rare label variant.  This version is virtually unseen and features a different text layout design with both the copyright notice and the manufacturing credit taking different positions on the label compared to the normal UK Large Hatter pressings. 

The copyright manufacturing text on the standard pressing follows the edge of the label in a circular pattern, whereas on this rare import version the text is laid out horizontally, with the copyright information appearing in the centre left position of the label.

These pressings were made in Holland for the UK market, imported during 1973/1974 as the manufacturing company b&c records were experiencing problems with their manufacturing process at the time.  Whilst being made in Holland they do not carry the associated Dutch STEMRA markings and they bear the UK catalogue number for this release.  When they do surface (which is rare) they invariably turn up in the UK as this was their destination market.

 

Grading :

VINYL:  EX-

LABELS : NM

Matrix : CAS 1058-A ; CAS 1058-B  (both hand etched)

SLEEVE :  VG+

The vinyl is graded as EX minus,  just a few hairlines and very light wear visible but this is a nice copy overall.  The labels are totally clean with no writing or other marks and grade at NM.  The sleeve is generally clean with no major defects but has some moderate rubbing to the spine and edges. 

Postage and Packing:

All records are been placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s
