Condition -
Record :
The record is in EXCELLENT condition. There are a few VERY minor marks on the surface but they do not affect the sound. I have played the record (on a high quality Rega system) and other than the occasional very slight crackle or pop in the quietest passages, the sound quality is superb throughout.
Sleeve :
The sleeve is also in EXCELLENT condition with no rips or tears. There are a few VERY minor wear marks along the top edges and bottom edges (see photo). It is the original textured gatefold sleeve printed by E.J. Day Group.
Inner Sleeve :
The album came with just a plain white inner sleeve. A polyvinyl liner has been added to further protect the record.
About Cleaning Vinyl ...
PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE A POLICY OF NEVER ATTEMPTING TO CLEAN RECORDS!
Attempts at cleaning with any sort of brush or cloth typically just forces dust and dirt further into the grooves of the vinyl.Likewise the application of any type of cleaning fluid merely leaves a sticky residue in the grooves. Whilst such cleaning methods may slightly improve the cosmetic appearance of the vinyl, they are almost always detrimental to the sound quality.
The ONLY way to clean records is to play them on good quality equipment, let the stylus remove any dust or fluff from the grooves and then carefully clean the stylus.
About Shipping ...
Records are shipped in professional quality record mailers with stiffening boards to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. If you are interested in multiple items we are willing reduce shipping rates. If this is not included in the auction listing, please email us for further details.
