GENESIS Nursery Cryme UK LP Ultra Rare Transitional Labels!! EX



GENESIS ~ Nursery Cryme UK LP. Charisma CAS 1052. Originally released 1971.
 
Extremely rare “transitional” pressing whereby side A has the later Small Mad hatter label and side B has the Large hatter label.  Both sides have manufactured & distributed credits.  This is unusual for the small hatter labels during the B&C era as most came with “marketed by” credits.  Extremely difficult to find.
 
The gatefold sleeve has a smooth finish and is manufactured by Garrod & Lofthouse.  This copy probably dates from the middle to late part of 1974.
 
Detailed Grading: -
 
Outer Sleeve: EX
 
The smooth gatefold outer sleeve is graded as being in EX condition.  It is clean and the colours remain nice and bright.  There is little or no rubbing to the edges at all.  There is a thumb nail crease in the front cover which is shown in the photos, this is not overly noticeable in normal light and is really the only condition point of any note on this really lovely example of this sleeve
 
Vinyl: EX
 
The vinyl is in nice condition overall with just a light scuff on one side and a couple of very minor marks, but it is a really clean example and well above average condition.

Labels: EX
 
The Labels are in EX condition.  Extremely minor traces of discolouration and a couple of spindle marks near the centre hole when angled to bright light 

Inner Sleeve : EX  
 
The generic paper inner sleeve is clean, but is not original.  It appear as though someone swapped out the sleeve at some point in the past.

 
Postage and Packing:
 
All records are placed in a brand new separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers.  My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
