I am having a clear out of some of my art & prog rock records that I have accumulated over the years. I have owned these from new and most were bought when they first came out so will have first press matrix numbers.  Pink Floyd , Genesis etc  AS always i fully play test ALL of my records and don't guess as to how they sound. 
       GENESIS            SELLING ENGLAND BY THE POUND
This is a genuine first pressing of "SEBTP" on the large Charisma "Mad Hatter" label . To be a first pressing ALL of the following need to be present.
1) A-1U &B-2U matrix marks. 2) E.J.Day printers credit. 3) "Marketed by B&C  Records Ltd 37 Soho Square London W1" 4) The insert is Dark Olive Green stiff card (later inserts were black and paper , NOT card). 5) Large "Mad Hatter" labels.  The label text has "Manufactured and Distributed by B&C Records Ltd"     ONLY GENUINE 1ST UK PRESSINGS HAVE ALL THESE CHARACTERISTICS.....

                                 The record retains a nice sheen to it and fully played as EX / EX                                                       with NO pops NO clicks. Any background is low level and unobtrusive.                                                                    There are some hairlines.  
                                              The vinyl plays as EX/EX (See below for definition)                                             The unlaminated sleeve is EX except where a price sticker has been partially removed.                                  ALL the edges are straight and strong with no wear to speak of.
                                        The spine is straight and true with fully legible text.                                         There is a slight fold on the rear of the sleeve. Nothing major.
                                                 The inner dark olive green lyric insert is EX+                                  This record is now over 50 years old. Vinyl.  This first pressing plays as EX / EX . 
The labels are unmarked and are in  AS NEW  condition.

The disc will be sent with a separate inner from the printed one to avoid any chance of splitting., Also included is a new plastic sleeve and  the record will be sent in a custom made cardboard sleeve.

• EXCELLENT ~ The record shows some signs of being played but there is very little lessening of the sound quality. There may be some light crackle but NO major problems like LOUD clicks. Occasional soft tics are acceptable. There may be hairlines. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

I have just played this through for these listing purposes and I have to say is nice player with great stereo audio. Needless to say absolutely no sticks or skips etc.
THIS IS A SUPERB COPY OF AN ORIGINAL EXAMPLE OF THIS LANDMARK ALBUM. 
I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me.

• NEAR MINT ~ visual inspection has revealed that the record plays noiselessly. If there are any surface marks these will be noted in the listing.

• VERY GOOD ~ The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality. despite noticeable surface and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items without any major defects is acceptable
