GENESIS - THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY CGS 101
UK Erstpressung auf dem Charisma Label - big Mad Hatter
UK 1st Pressing on the Charisma Label - big Mad Hatter
There is a vast variety of different pressings out there which makes it difficult to determine the "real McCoy". This copy is a very first pressing due to the following facts:
1. The labels read "Manufactured and distributed by B&C Records Ltd."
2. The labels are the "big Mad Hatter" Labels
3. The stamper matrixes are A-2U, B-3U, A-2U, B-2U
4. The dead wax has these engravings: Side 1 Porky+Johnnie, Side 2 Pecko, Side 3 Porky and Side 4 Pecko
So if you are looking for a real 1st pressing of this title watch out for the a.m. details of which all must be there.
The Vinyl of Record No.1 is VG++ to EXC due to mild static and scattered mild tics in quiet passages
The Vinyl of Record No.2 is at least EXC to EXC+
No bad scratches or loud pops, plays through without any serious problems.
The sound on this one is MUCH BETTER than on any later pressing - don't underestimate this criteria - the difference is huge!
The Gatefold Sleeve is still in EX(-) condition due to mild discoloration from age. A very hard to preserve sleeve due to its white color.
The original lyric inner Sleeves are in perfect (!) condition.
