GENESIS TRESPASS Original 1st Press Charisma Pink Scroll Rare UK LP Superb EX
Up for sale here:
GENESIS ~ TRESPASS Charisma CAS 1020 Original 1970 first pressing, with fully “raised” gatefold textured sleeve, Pink scroll label with large 1970 date credit.
Lowest and very first matrix numbers for this LP : A-2U B-2U.
VINYL: Visual grading: EX Audio grading: EX
Matrix Numbers: CAS 1020 A-2U / CAS 1020 B-2U
Mother stampers 1 GM / 1 GD. Relatively low stamper values of 14 and 10 in the GRAMOPHLTD pressing sequence used by EMI.
The vinyl is graded as EX. The record has a lovely glossy shine to it. It has a very small amount of generally fine hairline marks with just one or two slightly more noticeable hairlines which in themselves are very light. A really nice example, which will be better than the majority of copies out there!!
Audio playback. EX- The record plays back very well indeed, there is about the expected amount of quiet background noise given the grading above. The record plays through with no significant problems and although not totally silent the background noise is generally minimal and not overly intrusive.
LABELS ~ EX Both labels are generally clean with no writing.
OUTER SLEEVE. ~ EX-
The fully textured gatefold sleeve manufactured by E J Day is graded as being in EX- condition. It is generally in very clean and tidy condition, with just very minor wear, there is a very small rub mark on the front cover near the top edge but there is no writing or other marks on either the outer or inner of the gatefold.
The exception is that there is an area of damage to the upper part of the spine where the seam has been split by something in one place measuring 4 cm long, there are also a couple of very small splits just below this one, but they are very small indeed (see photos).
The inside of the gatefold is beautifully clean, a really fantastic example indeed.
Overall the sleeve is in superb condition, the only condition point of any real note being the slight damage to the spine noted above.
Postage and Packing:All records are been placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping. Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s
