Description
Out-of-print and somewhat rare 180 gram audiophile 2-LP -- GENESIS - The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway -- SD 2-401 -- 1974 ATCO Records / 2001 Classic Records USA. This was the first version by Classic Records -- 180 gram -- which did not have the Quiex hype sticker on the front. These were all limited editions, even though there was no numbering. Considered among the best renderings of this classic progressive rock masterwork, which was originally released in late 1974, almost exactly 50 years ago! The Lamb was the last for lead singer (and lyrics writer for this album), Peter Gabriel, who left the band shortly after the subsequent tour. Vinyl is near mint ..not likely played more than once or twice. Gatefold outer sleeve/jacket is in excellent condition ...glossy cover still looks great. Includes original inner sleeves with song lyrics. Also includes original Classic Records advertising postcard (see photo). Both LPs enclosed in original audiophile grade protective plastic-lined paper inner sleeves. Includes original poly-shrink wrap. I am an audiophile and have extensive experience grading, so bid with confidence. Low opening bid. FREE SHIPPING in the continental USA. International bidders are welcome, but will pay for shipping. Serious bidders only, please. PLEASE SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS for LPs and CDs. Thank you!
