Released in 1974 on the CHARISMA label, I'm offering today this original and very rare complete first UK pressing of this classic double concept album by UK progressive rock band GENESIS titled "THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY". The album was the last Genesis album with singer Peter Gabriel which tells the story of juvenile delinquent Rael and is in all round excellent to near mint complete condition.
The album comes complete with its original gatefold sleeve which is very clean whiter than most with fully legible spine and no unwanted writing or splits or stickers etc, There is also the first issue hard card inner sleeves which apart from some fingermarks are clean. The Gold Chase insert is very clean, These are usually missing and complete first issues rarely show up these days as most were withdrawn due to a pressing flaw.
The VINYL, The Vinyl visually looks in near mint condition, you would go a long way to find a cleaner.
The SLEEVE, The matt single sleeve is free from splits stickers or unwanted writing etc.
The LABELS, The Original B&C rim text Charisma labels are very clean, showing no spindle traces. Needless to say they are free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.
The INNERS, The original hard card lyric inners shows some finger marks but basically are both clean and free from splits etc.
The INSERT, The gold chase insert which is usually missing is here and is very clean.
EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND AS A UK COMPLETE FIRST B&C PRESSING ESPECIALLY IN SUCH NICE CONDITION.
I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
