This first pressing on the Mad Hatter Charisma label is absolutely stunning!  The clarity, depth, warmth and power of the audio on every track is phenomenal and I have only graded 'Blood On The Rooftops' as Near Mint due to two statics right at the end of the track.  I cannot emphasise enough how well this classic album plays and not surprisingly the vinyl is in beautiful condition also and is another from the very well preserved collection that I bought recently.  A FINAL UPGRADE I would say.
The textured cover is in superb condition with only a little rubbing on the bottom edge and the lyric inner is pristine.

Visual description
The vinyl is stunning!  It has an immaculate jet-black glossy sheen with no marks or scratches and you would be happy if you had just bought it brand new!  Even looking under a bright light it is difficult to locate any hairlines, perhaps a couple of ultra faint ones on either side.  The S2 run off has a couple of minor marks and the Charisma labels are super clean with only one spindle line on S2.
Play Grading
The run in on S1 has no background and then the intro on 'Eleventh Earl Of Mar' is 'as new' with a clarity that is second to none.  The opening vocal is the same and it continues to play with superb audio from then onwards.  The mid instrumental is so strong and clear and the quieter section / vocal that follows plays with STUNNING clarity.  There is not so much as a dust tick, I cannot overstate how well it plays!  The rest of the track is of the same high standard and I have no hesitation in grading it as Mint such is the sonic quality on offer here.
The intro on 'One For the Vine' has just one barely audible static and the opening vocal section plays with sublime clarity and warmth, there is no background whatsoever.  The Follow me 'chorus' is perfect and in the quiet piano section that follows there is only a minimal amount of very light static for a couple of seconds.  The He walked into a valley passage then impresses on every level!  The very quiet vocal and instrumental play beautifully with no intrusion - I have never ever heard this section play with such pristine quality!  The next classic instrumental is outstanding also - the power and definition of the audio is 'as new' - I've always loved this instrumental and wow does it play well!  The next vocal / instrumental are equally as strong and the final vocal has no interference either.  The closing instrumental again plays with real precision and this is as close to the perfection version that you find.  I will say Mint- and the minus is there because of the two seconds of light static in the middle.  Even the quiet piano ending / fade out plays without fault, not even a dust tick.
'Your Own Special Way' plays with imperious quality once more with zero intrusion.  There are only a couple of minor statics during the quiet instrumental piece but aside from that you cannot fault it.  Mint- is richly deserved.
'Wot Gorilla?' ends S1 with stunning clarity, power and definition through every section.  With no background of any kind it has to grade as Mint it just could not play any better.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The intro on 'All In A Mouse's Night' is perfect and the opening vocal section is just as impressive.  It continues in the same way and you really notice just how clean the audio is on this album.  Each and every note here is so clean and clinical - it's been a long time since I heard it on vinyl and Rutherford's bass is very much in evidence here, it's certainly not as strong on CD!  Every vocal section is stunning and the closing instrumental has, you guessed it, no intrusion.  This quirky track is Mint in every way.
The classic 'Blood On The Rooftops' plays with superb audio from the get go.  The acoustic intro is so clean with only a couple of mega quiet statics - no need to mention them really - and Collins' first vocal has no intrusion either.  The brief instrumental is 'as new' and the first chorus is equal to that.  From then onwards the clarity and warmth of the audio do not falter - every section knocking it out the park you could say - quite apt considering the final lyric!  There are a couple of obvious statics on the closing instrumental but in a way it seems harsh to downgrade it just because of that.  However, Near Mint it is although clearly 99% is 'as new' really!
'Unquiet Slumbers For The Sleepers...' plays with incredible clarity once more with only 3/4 barely audible statics and seriously I do mean barely audible!  Mint-
The segue into '...In That Quiet Earth' is faultless and the entire instrumental plays with sublime quality throughout.  No need to elaborate it is Mint from start to finish.
'Afterglow' ends the album with superlative audio once more.  There is no intrusion, no inner groove distortion - it truly is such a clean version with not one single negative.  I played it loud and it loses none of its original sonic quality.  It's a high end version and the long fade out plays perfectly also.  Mint every day of the week.
The Textured Cover & Lyric Inner
The cover is in lovely condition with very little wear, certainly nothing obvious.  Only the bottom edge has a little rubbing, the top edge is perfect and the spine is also super clean.  The corners are in superb shape and the opening edge is so close to perfect with only a couple of tiny rubs.  The textured front cover is stunning with just one tiny speck near the top and the back cover is pristine.  A stunning example that would be hard to beat.
The thick card lyric inner is immaculate without any wear.  'As new'.

Postage & Packaging

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping.  This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage.  The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered.  Any over-payment will always be refunded.

The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD).  An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known.  Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing.  Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.  Many thanks.

All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection.  They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection.  I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.

The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each.  There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up!  Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
