On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Gentle Giant called 'Acquiring The Taste' and is an ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Vertigo 'Spiral' label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! IT IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPS ON THE VERTIGO LABEL AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS FOR SALE!!!! JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!! IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS ON RELEASE BACK IN 1971 AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!! AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!! BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS AN IMPOSSIBLY RARE 'PROMOTIONAL' TEST PRESSING - WITH A BLANK LABEL ON 1 SIDE!!!! AND THIS SURELY HAS TO MAKE THIS ONE OF THE RAREST VERTIGO'S TO EVER COME FOR SALE - EVER!!!! AS YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE FROM THE PICTURES, 1 SIDE OF THE RECORD HAS THE STANDARD UK 1ST PRESS 'SPIRAL' LABEL - WHEREAS THE OTHER SIDE IS COMPLETELY BLANK!!!! THIS 'BLANK' SIDE HAS A PLAIN 'TEST PRESS' GREY BLANK LABEL - AND IF YOU LOOK VERY VERY CLOSELY AT IT - YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE SOME ULTRA FAINTLY STAMPED 'T's IN A REGULAR PATTERN ACROSS THE LABEL!!!! IT IS SO FAINT - THAT IT BARELY SHOWS AT ALL IN MY PICTURE, BUT IT IS THERE!!!! MY GUESS IS THAT THE PRINTED 'T's STAND FOR TEST PRESSING - THOUGH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KNOW FOR CERTAIN AFTER 37 YEARS!!!! HOWEVER - ONE THING IS VERY CERTAIN, AND THAT IS THAT THIS LP IS CLEARLY A SPECIALLY MADE 'PROMOTIONAL ONLY' TEST PRESSING - AND ONLY AN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNT WOULD HAVE EVER HAVE BEEN PRESSED!!!! AND THIS SURELY MAKES THIS ONE OF THE RAREST VERTIGO LPS EVER TO COME UP FOR SALE - EVER!!!! AND PLEASE ALSO NOTE - THIS LP IS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT A 100% GENIUNE UK 1ST PRESSING (NOT A FOREIGN ONE!) - WITH A UK COVER, UK INNER, UK MATRIXES, UK STAMPERS, AND UK LABELS!!!! NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1971 UK 'TEST' 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS VERTIGO 'SPIRAL' LABEL (WITH PLAIN BLANK 'TEST PRESS' LABEL ON 1 SIDE!), 1ST PRESS VERTIGO INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS GATEFOLD COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL UK 'Test' 1st Pressing from 1971 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The record is pressed on thick quality vinyl. The Cat. No is 6360 041 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Vertigo Label (see picture) and is a UK 1971 Stereo 1st pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear (apart from a VERY slight touch around both centre holes), NO writing, and only a few VERY light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in absolutely BRILLIANT visual condition - with the playing grade slightly less than this!!!! Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 1 TINY hairline type mark, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!! It is also great to find that the record plays almost as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO nasty loud pops, only a few very VERY light clicks on 1 track (from the TINY hairline type mark), NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! There is however, some audible background sound on the run on grooves, gaps & VERY quietest parts of the music!!!! However most of this LP is VERY loud indeed - and any background sound is completely lost WAY behind this!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!! The record must visually grade Very Good++++ if not better - with the playing grade being less than this for the reason mentioned above!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press Vertigo inner sleeve which is in VERY solid presentable condition - though it is a little grubby. The 1st Press Gatefold Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has barely ANY edgewear AT ALL, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO ringwear, barely ANY grubbyness AT ALL, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated inside is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, only a TINY name, NO yellowing, and only some VERY slight rubbing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
