Description
GENTLE GIANT ~ OCTOPUS LP - NEAR MINT
Original 1972 U.K. first issue stereo pressing released on the Vertigo swirl label 6360 080.
The hardest and most "rocking" Gentle Giant album, Octopus was allegedly named by Phil Shulman's wife Roberta as a pun on "octo opus" (eight musical works, reflecting the album's eight tracks). The album's release is generally considered to date the start of the band's peak period.
The vinyl is in near mint condition.
The outer sleeve is in very good condition, just some light wear on the corners and a few tiny brown spots inside. The inner white sleeve is the original and has yellowing on the edges.
The vinyl will be well packaged with stiffeners in the mailer and will be posted second class recorded delivery.
I am new to LP selling and will be listing many more, please contact me if you are in any way dissatisfied with your purchase so I can assist before you leave feedback. Thanks for looking.
