This is an ORIGINAL 1972 1st PRESS  pressing from GERMANY of GENTLE GIANT's classic fourth Lp called OCTOPUS and released originally as here on the VERTIGO large SWIRL label with 'PHILLIPS RECORD PRODUCT' text.

Visually graded under a 100W  light source the vinyl retains EXCELLENT glossy sheen - with only very few visible marks and what there are are predominantly hairlines.

And overall this is confirmed on playing as there is very little audible surface noise.

Both sides have been PLAY GRADED.

Side 1 is graded - EXCELLENT MINUS

Side 2 is graded - EXCELLENT

The BLACK and WHITE LARGE SPIRAL VERTIGO record labels are graded EXCELLENT MINUS - with little visible spindle wear.

The thin card GATEFOLD PICTURE sleeve printed by DRUCKHAUS MAACK is graded EXCELLENT MINUS with some edge rubs, odd crease and minor ring wear to back but no splits and spine remains 100% etc.

A classic and rare FIRST PRESS of this GENTLE GIANT Lp called OCTOPUS and here in overall rare EXCELLENT MINUS condition.
