Description
This is a rare copy of the "Three Friends" 1972 UK LP by GENTLE GIANT
Please note: I am selling this from a record collection passed down to me from a member of my family. I am a private seller and therefore can only describe the records quality as I see it, I am not a dealer or expert on record collections.
The LP is an original 1972 release and is an early 1st pressing.
There were two different labels for this LP - At 1 o'clock beneath 1972 - one label had 'Made in England' and one was without. It is believed the one without was released first. This copy for sale is without 'Made in England'.
The vinyl is on the VERTIGO label, number 6360070, and has the following 1st press matrix numbers:
- Side 1: 1 6360070 1Y#2 420 1 1 4
- Side 2: 1 6360070 2Y#2 420 1 1 3
Having looked up the matrix numbers on the vertigo swirl website, 420 denotes this is a UK pressing.
I have tried to show any wear and tear or marks in my photos
The cover which is a gatefold with "VO PRICE CODE" and was not laminated is in fair condition but has some marks and wear to the corners and spine indicative of its age.
The inside of the gatefold is in good condition apart from some writing in pen on the inside left cover (see photo).
Both labels are in good condition with only some discolouring due to age.
There is some ringwear on the back cover.
The inner record sleeve is the original spiral one with patent numbers and warning against the misuse of plastic bags , with some discolouring on the edges due to its age. Surprisingly, the plastic inner over the labels still remains glued and intact on both sides.
The record will be packed in a stiff package specifically designed for sending vinyl through the post, with added protection on the corners. Shipping costs will reflect this to ensure that the record arrives with you safely and undamaged. All items are sent recorded delivery so that you can track it and insurance is highly recommended as I will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged in the post.
