GEOFF LOVE AND HIS ORCHESTRA - THEMES FOR SUPER HEROES. EMI MFP Records MFP50439 UK STEREO 33 1/3 RPM 12" LONG PLAY ALBUM 1979. ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING (SMFP50439 A-1 / SMFP50438 B-1) ON RED/BLACK MFP LABEL WITH LAMINATED SLEEVE AND ORIG "5/79" EMI INNER. Condition: VG+(light storage wear)/VG+(light surface marks and spindle wear).

In early 1979 EMI commissioned best-selling band leader Geoff Love to record this album centred on the disco-superhero approach such as the Season 3 Wonder Woman Theme arranged by Johnny Harris. The resulting sessions feature exciting, funky arrangements courtesy of Nick Ingman - best-known for his library music written for De Wolfe and KPM - whilst in the rhythm section were five of Britain's leading session musicians: Barry Morgan (drums), Herbie Flowers (bass guitar), Alan Parker (guitar), Steve Gray (keyboards) and Mike Vickers (synthesizer). Cool 70's copyright-free superhero artwork!
