Description
Up for auction is a very clean copy of the George Braith album "Extension" released on Blue Note Records (BST 84171) in 1964. New York, USA labels. Address on cover is 43 West 61st St., New York 23. Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. Comes with original Blue Note inner sleeve. Features Grant Green on guitar. The cover is in great shape with very few signs of wear. No ring wear, no seam splits, no writing. Corners are sharp, no bumps. Strong seams. Graphics clean and bright. Back cover is clean, bone white, unmarked, no age discoloration. Very attractive. I would grade the cover Near Mint (NM). The vinyl is also in really nice condition, retaining its original high gloss sheen. No obvious scratches or scuffs. Perhaps some very light, superficial signs of having been taken out of paper inner sleeve. Labels are clean and bright. I've play tested this record, and it sounds really nice and bright. Here and there some very faint surface noise, not constant, no does it compete with the music in any way. Mostly plays very clean, and is a pleasure to listen to. I'd grade the vinyl EX+ (visually) and EX (audio). Not audiophile perfect, but certainly one of the nicer copies you'll come across.
