Japan's 1977 reissue of George Harrison's All Things Must Pass. I'm the original owner and I purchased this at a local Tower Records Store in that same year, 1977. It has remained in its loose-fit plastic baggie since the day I bought it. This is the first time the plastic has been removed for these photos. Japan never factory sealed these, just simple plastic flap baggie and tape. Anyway, this box set is in amazing condition. Nearly as new as it can get. Never opened, never played. The vinyl looks awesome though I refuse to take them completely out of the original Japanese plastic inners, not even for photography sake. The only couple of tiny flaws is the OBI strip inside the hinged inner cover shows a sign of a small fold (look carefully at the bottom segment of the OBI inside the box cover). OBI strips are incredibly fragile and this one is in great shape otherwise. The front cover shows a few tiny bubbles from the pasted cover. Yes there are a few very small rubs, dings and tiny scuffs, front cover, back cover and box edges. This includes it all = the Japanese lyric insert, OBI, poster and lyric record sleeves. The poster has a semi-gloss appearance if compared to the original US posters. It even feels thicker. Crisp and clean front and back. This is in beautiful shape for a 44 year old collectable. For those who aren't familiar the hole seen on the back cover was created for ease of removing/lifting the vinyl out of the box. Please see the photos for a closer look. Many collectors praise this particular Japanese reissue for its gorgeous clarity and depth when compared to the original UK or US pressings. Since these have never been played nor taken out of the plastic innersleeves I can't guarantee playback. This is a very tough pressing to find in such beautiful condition.
