Description

This is George Harrison’s first solo recording after the breakup of the Beatles .This year is the 31st anniversary of the release of this 3-LP album, on the 27th November 1970

If you are looking for a great copy of this - look no further! It's in very collectable condition - you won't be disappointed.

RECORDS: It appears to be a first pressing on the Apple Label. The three vinyl discs retains their original high gloss finish and are in near unmarked condition. Discs 1 & 2 have orange coloured Apple labels and disk 3 has a unique green Apple Jam label all detailed with “Mfd. In U.K.” and “An E.M.I Recording.” Each record is is in a lilac, grey and green coloured matt textured sleeve – same colour inside. Sleeves 1 & 2 detail lyrics on front side and sleeve 3 has a picture of Apple Jam on the front and track listing on reverse with Apple logo. Apart from small splits to the lower edge they can be considered near mint.

THE BOX:

The black box with pasted black and white picture on front side has GEORGE HARRISON / ALL THINGS MUST PASS and APPLE STCH 639 printed on the spine.This first issue box is thicker than the later issues. Inside of lid has pasted orange panel detailing track listings and musicians, recording details and “MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN” printed. Base of the box is a plain cardboard bottom (later issues are white or orange.)There is also a cardboard square as a filler ,this is white on one side and plain on the other. The base of the box is a black 'leather effect' textured finish. The box is very good or better (possibly excellent!). The only fault is the two lower corners are split and very slight age fade to top part of the sky on the cover.

POSTER:

Included is a large folded colour poster of George. This has 'PRINTED IN GREAT BRITAIN STCH 639’ printed in the bottom right hand corner, and has a slightly textured 'matt' finish (I believe later ones were 'glossy' and usually not made in Great Britain). The poster has never been hung, so has NO pin holes or adhesive marks. NO rips or writing. Condition is Near Mint.

A very rare box set from the “quiet Beatle”. Sadly of course, George passed away on November 29th 2001 – these recordings are a lasting legacy to a legendary talent.
