ONEADAYRECORDS – Simply Delivering Quality Music to the World in Quality, Safe Packing.
Postage: UK £4.95. Europe (including Russia) £12.95 (£1 per extra record). Rest of World £19.95 (£2 per extra record). All my records are sent in boxes and the price of them has increased over time and these are my first price increases for nearly 10 years. Royal Mail prices have also gone up again. I will never compromise on quality, safe packaging – I NEVER use mailing envelopes that offer virtually no protection at all, and records WILL arrive damaged in them at some time as most record buyers will already know. Here, you get what you pay for – SAFE PACKING in BOXES using 7mm DOUBLE-WALL STIFFENERS including full side protection and bubble wrap, the records removed from the covers of course. All this very safe packing means I lose money on every box I post, but safe delivery is, and will always be paramount. You WILL see the difference when my packet arrives. Also, I will pay for insurance on any record that sells for over £100 at NO extra cost – that is UK and abroad. Also I aim to post the very same day after payment is received if possible. PLEASE NOTE: I will NOT send any item, no matter what its value without a Royal Mail or courier tracking number. ALL my items must be signed and trackable to comply with Ebay delivery rules. Please do NOT ask me to make any exceptions to this rule as no country offers 100% reliable service without it.
Posting to Russia: Yes, I do post to Russia. But delivery can take longer from the UK. So please be patient. I will submit a tracking number to the winning bidder, and when the packet arrives there it can be followed online using the Russian post website.
ALSO: I now apply the Ebay ‘2-day’ rule for non-payment to keep things moving – cash-flow is important for any small business.
ANY ITEM or ITEMS TO BE PAID WITHIN A MAXIMUM OF 6 DAYS or they will be cancelled – NO EXCEPTIONS.
FINALLY: Late payers, non-payers and ‘0’ bidders will now be blocked or cancelled at my discretion, as will any bidder who cancels a bid. Please only bid on my items if you want them.
Artist or Band: GEORGE HARRISON
Album Title: All Things Must Pass
Producer(s): George Harrison & Phil Spector
TRACK LIST:
Side 1: I’d Have You Anytime; My Sweet Lord; Wah-Wah; Isn’t It a Pity (Version 1).
Side 2: What Is Life; If Not for You; Behind That Locked Door; Let It Down; Run of the Mill.
Side 3: Beware of Darkness; Apple Scruffs; Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll); Awaiting on You All; All Things Must Pass.
Side 4: I Dig Love; Art of Dying; Isn’t It a Pity (Version 2); Hear Me Lord.
Side 5: Out of the Blue; It’s Johnny’s Birthday; Plug Me In.
Side 6: I Remember Jeep; Thanks for the Pepperoni.
Label/Format: Apple with matt, quite smooth surfaces – sides 1 to 4 have the orange coloured format as seen. Sides 5 and 6 have a more customised ‘green’ format.
Label Conditions: All labels in remarkable condition with barely a spindle trace to be seen. Very fresh, clean and attractive, did the one owner from new actually play this? A popular classic album that is unlikely to be found much better all-round.
Cat Number: STCH 639
Mode / Speed: Stereo / 33.3 rpm.
Warps or Lateral Movement: Assume all records I offer have no significant warping or lateral movement to cause sound or tracking issues. All should play fine even on budget turntables.
Weight of Records: 142 / 138 / 142 grams.
Country of Manufacture: RECORDS, BOX & POSTER: England. – INNERS: United States.
Rarity: Moderately scarce as a standard copy with the American made box and poster – as far as I am aware, ALL inner sleeves were made in the United States. A very small number of boxes and the poster were manufactured in the UK, these are far rarer – and this copy on offer IS the UK version, box and poster details seen on my pictures. Most consider the American box, inners and poster with the British-made records to be the standard copy for the UK market – so a genuine UK-printed poster, and especially the box are rarely seen. Not only that, finding the box in this amazing condition is beyond difficult. The taped hinge is as strong and barely used as when it was issued. This has to be the very best all-round UK-made box I have seen in decades. Owned from new by one person, and mostly stored in a plastic bag (this will not fit in a standard protective cover). Any time on a shelf I was told was short. All elements of the set appear barely even touched, used or seen light-of-day. The superb, very large poster still unmounted and pristine virtually Mint and here clearly seen with its UK imprint at the bottom in close-up, almost equally challenging as the actual box as most are American and used. The UK box differs from the common American version, the tray being deeper. The coloured inner sleeves are immensely fragile and American made, few survive without huge edge splits and tears. Against the odds, ALL of these were fully intact, that could be a first for me to see within one original set. All six sides play with lovely clean sound and all evidence suggests the records have hardly ever been handled or taken out of the box. Also, to reiterate how early this copy is, all bar one have first ‘1’ mother codes and ultra low stampers with single letters. Compare to most seen that often have higher numbers and two, three or even four letter stampers. Put simply: this is the best example I have ever seen or heard with the genuine UK-made box and poster. Finding a better or early one will prove beyond difficult.

Brief Info: Harrison’s 1970 triple album classic that for me is by far the best post-Beatles album he ever made. With some material dating back to the mid-Beatles era, there are some real gems included here including the famous ‘My Sweet Lord’, ‘If Not For You’ and ‘What is Life’. Sides one to four are typical Harrison songs, while the last disc has lengthy jam instrumentals featuring a host of super-star musicians. Most interested people reading this will know all about this album already, I prefer to explain more of what is available and condition.
What This Set Includes: UK-made 1-piece box with the orange inside, deeper tray and white top – 3 EMI UK pressed, low matrix records – 3 different coloured unlined inner sleeves – UK-made large unmounted poster.
Box Grade and Format: I going to grade all outside areas of this as EXCELLENT(++) bar the bottom storage of the box which is near EXCELLENT as it has some quite mild friction scuffing, that being pretty much the only significant wear on this gorgeous box. ALL inside areas are little short of MINT. This rare UK-made version is deeper than the rarer American version and, as seen, has the white inside tray, and orange lid (American ones were both orange). Matt finished with textured surfaces on the ‘ cloth’ areas, the front paste-on panel graphic is smooth. The lid is hinged with a delicate piece of cloth tape, these often shear off to become two separate pieces, but this fragile hinge is still as fresh and strong as when made (but due care is always strongly advised when opening and closing). The front graphic is the cleanest, freshest and most attractive I have seen in many years (if not ever). The only minuscule blemish trace is a super-faint price sticker outline hint near the top right (look hard). That apart it comes close to as-made. The underside textured base has minimal faint marks with any traces of rubbing few and ultra faint indeed. I can hardly imagine seeing this area better either. The top, right and left (spine) faces are impressive with again any hint of rubbing very little and faint, as stated the exception being the storage edge that patchy surface rubbing/mild scuffs here and there. NO broken corners, all these areas naturally intact and very strong. So many are split, broken and even flattened with some very industrial attempts at repairs – not such issues on this one – absolutely none required. The gently embossed gold print on the spine unworn and still sharp and clear as-seen. As stated all the inside areas are immaculate and look pristine. Put this in context: this is a 50-year-old box, as most collectors will know, boxed albums are the most prone to get badly damaged and worn, this has more than just survived, it looks superb and fully, and very strongly, all totally naturally intact. The lack of grubbiness and ageing to the famous front immediately stands out, then look inside to reveal pristine areas with a UK imprint. All considered, this is close to a connoisseur piece.
The Inner Sleeves: EXCELLENT(++): and arguably better. Two have ‘PRINTED IN USA’ credits, the grey one omits this and has nothing instead. The green one is made with gently textured paper, the other two are smoother. All have top deeply recessed openings and remain crisp and sharp with no tears and hardly any traces of thickening. Barely any creasing, any traces very few and faint. Incredibly, and I do use the word carefully, all edges, for all inners, are UNSPLIT with NO repairs. As most collectors and fans will know, these are often seen in very sorry states with huge gaping edge splits, regularly on all sides. Movement in transit caused the record to slice through these delicate unlined thick paper inners and very few at all seem to be unaffected these days. Any repairs to the coloured paper will be more than obvious and the repaired area will be hard from adhesive. The surfaces are clean and very fresh, the reason being the one original owner stored the records inside replacement soft-lined inners. These are superb, close to as-made again and few will get close to bettering them.
The Poster: PRACTICALLY MINT and UNMOUNTED. Thus, no pin-holes or tape marks with no damage of any kind. Unfaded with all the folds strong with barely a trace of surface creasing, this printed on matt paper and importantly, printed in GREAT BRITAIN, as seen in close-up. Way rarer than the American version and rarely seen reminding of new. Crisp edges and a clean back, this is unaged and looks absolutely fantastic as-seen, clearly hardly even handled. Guaranteed original, when held to light, a light watermark is seen on the paper, there is no way this can be faked. The heavily bearded Harrison looks a little spooky on this classic poster, and not seen a better one to date.
Vinyl Condition/Visual Grading:
DISC 1: NEAR MINT: arguably better, with barely any surface marks or even traces. Superb shine and actually wondering if it had actually been played.
DISC 2: VIRTUALLY MINT: incredibly even better still.
DISC 3: EXCELLENT(++): arguably better, any surface blemishes tiny, very few and faint.
A fantastic visual set that are very clean with beautiful shine and quite heavily pressed with over average vinyl weight. Barely played and offering impressive clean sound for all. Visually impressive records, all with -1U matrix endings and incredibly early single character stampers. I doubt if these records have seen light-of-day for decades, and still actually wondering if the owner played them. These could be the cleanest and earliest examples you find in a UK-made box available. They should please virtually all collectors. I cannot imagine finding them better.
Album Played For Grading: Yes. [I play ALL records I offer before submitting to Ebay, also the record is played in its entirety unless clearly stated otherwise. I do NOT play snippets or joining grooves to check for sound quality and quietness – I play from the beginning to end via clinically revealing B&W speakers that include the legendary tweeter from their awesome Nautilus range that reveals every blemish or miniscule sound present on any record.]
Sound Quality and Audio Grading: All three records play superbly with little to fault and no tracking issues* or inherent pressing noises. Offering strong, distortion-free sound, all frequencies are sharp and clear – sound quality is very high with a wide dynamic range and very detailed sound. Any surface sounds minimal to none. Few copies will match let alone outperform these. Beautifully produced and recorded, these records and their packaging should please many, if not most collectors.
* As played-graded on a high-end Linn LP12 Sondek turntable with Ittok Mk II arm and Ortofon Quintet Black moving coil cartridge tracking at 2 grams. Records are a ‘contact’ format, and few will avoid the odd minor sound blemish.
I am one of the most established sellers on Ebay, trading since 2001 and offering the finest records I can find. I pride myself on offering a variety of genres to keep my site as interesting as possible. I will rarely offer any record that falls below a true Excellent grading, unless its of a certain rarity which will justify offering a lesser grade. I try, to the best of my ability to describe as accurately and as honesty all elements of the items I offer for sale. You may notice I only submit records quite sparingly on Ebay as I Play-Grade every record I offer in their entirety – also on higher-end equipment – not just bits to guess a grade – visuals alone do not always tell a true story. I will try to mention any defects or flaws no matter how small that I notice to be fair as possible to any interested collector – I am very fussy and my buyers have the right to be too. Every record I offer, whether it be a common or rare item deserves the same respect as far as I am concerned and will be treated the same – just because an item is rare does not always mean it’s good. I get just as much pleasure offering a relatively common record in near mint condition as the real rare items. All the pictures I use for your guidance are the item being offered with no digital enhancements. Room light factors can make things vary sometimes, that is hard to control, especially in winter. I hope the item below is to your liking – any questions can be emailed and I will do my best to answer you. I am enthusiastic, and have a fair degree of knowledge about many genres and I promise quality items. Please assume all records I offer have NO jumps, sticks, major warps or writing on covers or labels unless clearly stated to the contrary. Thanks for your interest and Good luck – MIKE.
Equipment Used for Play-Grading: I now play-grade ALL the records I offer (unless clearly stated to the contrary) on the following equipment:Deck: Linn LP12/Hercules/Cirkus with Ittok Mk II arm and Ortofon Quintet Black moving coil cartridge (tracks at 2 grams). Amps: Naim Supernait 2 with Project USB phono stage and Tellerium Black interconnects. Speakers: B&W 805 Nautilus (bi-wired with Tellurium Black terminated cable) with REL subwoofer. All records I offer on Ebay are cleaned on a professional Nessie vacuum machine before play-grading for the cleanest and best possible sound and will include a brand new lined inner and protective cover too. Pictures taken with a Nikon D7500 DSLR Camera.
PACKING – THIS IS WHAT YOU GET.
What You Get: To confirm to the strict Ebay rules on shipping, I must now send ALL my packets ‘Signed-For’ with NO exceptions. Both buyers and sellers want their packets to have a safer journey and this is not a bad thing.
PLEASE NOTE: I now exercise my right to open a dispute after the Ebay rule of TWO days if no payment is received. I will then cancel the dispute to end the bid, again after the mandatory FOUR days and then offer the item to the runner-up or relist. The non-payer will also be blocked from my Ebay site as will any suspicious bids or bid bid retractions. Small businesses need prompt payment to trade and these strict rules WILL be applied.
Payment Conditions:
I prefer PayPal from winning bidders. I only accept PayPal from overseas bidders or direct payment into my bank account.
Potential Bidders: I will cancel any bids I feel are time-wasters. A maximum 2 days for communication and 7 days for payment to arrive – if not I will relist the item or offer to the runner-up.
My Guarantee: If any winning bidder is not satisfied with their purchase I will offer a complete refund if the item is returned in the same condition is was sent e.g. as per the listing pictures.
SOME GENERAL GUIDES TO WEAR AND CONDITIONS TO HELP YOU DECIDE
My Use of Description Terminology: Surface Marks = Superficial, usually light marks, hairlines or light scuffs that rarely sound. Scratch = a needle mark that goes below the record’s surface, some will sound, some will not, my play-grade will inform. Original = a record that has been pressed with the first label design which does NOT necessarily mean a very first pressed record. First Pressing = A record that I believe or know to be a genuine very first pressed record. I do not claim to always know for sure, and that’s why I state the stamper and matrix numbers if at all possible, for those who claim to know what they all mean, the information is there for the collector to decide. I prefer to use terms like ‘Early Copy’ rather than ‘First Pressing’ if I am not totally sure. Surface Sound = Mild, light sound, usually light crackle or similar. Distortion = Break up of the actual sound caused by groove wear or damage from a chipped stylus – the most undesirable form of unwanted sound, vintage mono records were the most prone to this happening but not exclusively so. The symptoms of distortion are high frequency clipping, moderate constant crackle or an echo type sound quality. Violin, piano and vocals are most prone to groove-wear distortion. Feathering = Fraying or softening of the entry edge of a cover. Covers with feathered entrance edges are more likely to have had the actual record inserted and removed more than a non-feathered, sharp-edged cover which are always far more attractive. Set Off, a printer’s term for dark ink leaving mild residue on pale or white ink when rested upon. e.g. when a gatefold cover has black ink closed against white, this can leave some black residue on the pale area – this is mostly unavoidable or course.
