Description

A big hello (again...) and welcome to all Beatles & George Harrison Collectors!
Let's give this one a second chance with a "lower" price and therefore chances for more bidders. Maybe I have overestimated the Beatles Collector's last time ;))

Here you have the chance to get something very remarkable and special for your collection.
First of all: Serious bidders / collector's only please - thank you :)
And yes: The price is (again) no typing error!

But why... the record is just George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord"?
If you take a closer look, you will see what's special.

And here is the history behind this vinyl:

In Germany the formerly "Spar- und Gewerbebank" (nowadays Volksbank / Raiffeisenbank) are part of a giro bank community. These banks are spread all over the country and comparable with a bank for "normal/everyday people" so to say...
Every year in late October all German banks have a so called "World-Money-Savings-Day" (Weltspartag). It is a tradition that people bring their money to their saving accounts and get a free gift on this day. The "fun" here is mostly for kids who get small toys and bring the coins from their piggybank. But also adults get something like a calendar, a small book or something...

About this 7":
In 1971 the giro-community had a special idea and a collaboration with EMI Germany. Every (!) single bank - no matter how small the village is/was - who wanted this single as a gift for the "Weltspartag" got their own special print (name and city/village) on cover and labels! So what you see are real prints and not just name-stampers with the bank-address.

(Plus - very unusual: A solid (!) center on a German 7" vinyl! How cool is that?!?!)

The commercial agreement with EMI-Records-Germany said that each bank can give the records for free to their customers on the  "Weltspartag", but the records who will remain after that day, had to be sent back to EMI-Records where they got destroyed!
During my research I found out, that these editions have only been about 3 times on Ebay ever. But no one was ever sold with THIS print here of the "Spar- und Gewerbebank e.G.m.b.H. Offenbach a.M.-Bieber"
(The city of Offenbach is nearby Frankfurt am Main. And Bieber is a village-part of Offenbach...this info is "just for the record")

You can be sure that this will be the ONLY (!) one you will ever see on Ebay! Why am I so sure? Because the people/bankcustomers who got this record back in 1971 have either stored it in their basement, where they even don't know that it even or still exists. Or the records are already thrown away with a household... Maybe very few might still exist nowadays. The opportunity that there will be another one on Ebay again goes to zero... (Believe me, I was living in Bieber for over 30 years :))...) If you ever see another copy around it might be a "one in a trillion" as this here is a "one in a million" :)) Be honest to yourself - you know it's right ;))

Well, I hope there is a little myth built now :))

Now about the condition (please see pictures):
The cover shows slight signs of age and wear, but no cuts, cracks or splits.
The vinyl looks nice, but has been played and is now in "vg/g+" (audible)condition [conservative grading!].
Both versions are not special and can be found on the usual George Harrison releases.
