Description

George Wallington Quintet - At The Bohemia - Progressive PLP-1001 original deep groove, first pressing of rare legendary modern jazz combo lp from 1955. Record is VG+ (vinyl surface is almost Near Mint, tiny initials rubber stamped on label); cover is VG- (clear tape on spine; notable laminate tear on rear upper right). Recorded September 9, 1955 in New York City. George Wallington - piano, Jackie McLean - alto sax, Donald Byrd - trumpet, Paul Chambers - bass, Art Taylor - drums. "RVG" etched in trail-off - engineered by Rudy Van Gelder. Nice!
