Another big rarity of the week , very rare jazz trio from france leaded by GERARD GUSTIN piano , with SACHA DISTEL on guitar GILBERT GASSIN on bass , this 10" lp on barclay has been recorded during the emergence of modern jazz in france in the middle 50°s to the end when just a few french jazzmen were playing modern and modal jazz ( URTREGER / SOLAL / ARVANITAS / etc..) , that kind of record is very hard to get in france . To speak a little bit more of the sound of this lp it sound very happy modern jazz with some tracks going modal mostly on the solos , plus there are a certain french cinematic vein that make this record very unique , plus it is an history recording with young SACHA DISTEL on guitars plus one of the only record by GERARD GUSTIN , so real collector item and very rare reccord with fanstatic jazz sound .TRY LONG SOUNDCLIP
