ROBERTO GERHARD & ANTAL DORATI -
THE PLAGUE

(12” Vinyl LP)

1974 UK Decca (HEAD.6)

A TRUE AUDIOPHILE CLASSIC!!!
1G/3G STAMPERS!!!

“The rats …”

There are few experiences more eerie than
that of listening to THE PLAGUE. It is a
truly rare gem, a one-of-a-kind experience
that any true audiophile will never forget.

Adapted from Albert Camus’s The Plague
Commissioned by the BBC
COMPOSER: Roberto Gerhard
PERFORMED BY:
National Symphony Orchestra, Washington D.C.
at Constitution Hall in Washington
on May 11, 1973
CONDUCTOR: Antal Dorati
NARRATED BY: Alex McCowan

MEDIA CONDITION: EXCELLENT (EX)!!!
SLEEVE CONDITION: GOOD (G)!!!
(While the cover to this record is in precarious shape,
the record within is exquisite. I personally listened to it
several years ago on a top-of-the-line system, and
it was an utterly haunting experience. Much closer to
NEAR MINT in my opinion.)

I AM A PRIVATE SELLER.
My father recently passed away of cancer.
He was an avid audiophile, and I have inherited
the task of selling his 2000+ collection
of high-end, rare vinyl and SACDs.
His collection was meticulously maintained,
and I intend to treat the music we loved
with the same care and respect.
