Description
GIANNI BASSO Ballads DIRE LP Italian easy jazz *SIGNED* Palumbo Pillot Milanese
Rare original Italian pressing LP from the 1980's on Dire (FO 379).Comes in original gatefold picture sleeve and has plain poly-lined paper inner sleeve. The original owner managed to get this autographed on the rear face by Gianni Basso himself! They then stuck clear tape over the inscription so that it didn't get rubbed off.
Superb and sultry late night easy jazz vibes by the quartet of Gianni Basso (Sax), Sante Palumbo (Piano), Giancarlo Pillot (Drums) and Luciano Milanese (Bass). Listen here and here and here!
Tracks:
OLD FOLKS
LIKE SOMEONE IN LOVE
DON'T BLAME ME
STARDUST
MY FOOLISH HEART
YOU STEPPED OUT OF A DREAM
THERE'S NO YOU
NATURE BOY
Vinyl looks near mint and generally plays through very nicely, apart from on the first track of each side where there is a bit of background surface noise/crackle, although this is mostly at the start and gradually fades off until it has all but disappeared by the time the second tracks are starting.
Labels are clean and tidy with just a handful of spindle marks on each side.
Sleeve in excellent condition with just a bit of light corner wear and one or two small minor dust/storage marks on the inside.
Inner sleeve is nicely tidy with no edge splits or writing.
I am selling lots more similar stuff this week so please check my other auctions and ebay shop..!
