LITTLE AMERICA - ITALIAN LIBRARY Lp by GIANNI MARCHETTI. Original Italian pressing on the RCA ORIGINAL CAST label (SP 10077), from 1979. Little known and super-obscure session by the maverick arranger. Like the Remigio Ducros and Daniela Casa America Giovane Library series, this is Marchetti's take on the Italian musical interpretation of young America, circa late '70s ;) Features the killer spaced-out disco synthesizers and cosmic hip hop drums of MOUNT RUSHMORE. Great for DJs. Strung-out electronic beats and pulses a la Giorgio Moroder with blunted BBoy ambience. We have also recorded the mellow and beautifully stoned lounge groove of WESTPORT (with hip hop drum patterns too) / the psychedelic lounge waltz of LONG ISLAND with scat vocal harmony and groovy jazzy delirium of BLUE PANTHER with bass cello / congas / bass flute and solos a la Gino Marinacci. Seldom comes up for sale. Striking artwork sleeve with the Statue Of Liberty in a spatial winter setting. Rare Library Lp!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG+ condition (closer to VG++ overall) with some hairlines / mini light scuffs and some old pressing residue marks. Surface noises. A couple of soft pops / ticks (as you can hear on the soundclip). The laminated card sleeve is in strong VG+ condition overall with some general wear and creasing from storage. Corner and some edge wear with laminate chipping. Some ring wear marks. Vertical, score line from the original printing process runs down through the middle of the front sleeve. A couple of mini dirt stains to back sleeve. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Rare Library Lp!!!
