Description
Excellent and very scarce vintage 10-inch jazz LP featuring GIGI GRYCE and his Big Band Featuring CLIFFORD BROWN, from 1953. Title is “Jazztime Paris Vol. 1.” Catalog number is BLP 5049, mono pressing.
This is a stock pressing, blue/white with blue print, medium thick vinyl, 767 Lexington A Avenue address with deep groove, flat edge, and “ear” symbol in trailoff. . Guaranteed to be original and authentic.
Condition of jacket is nice VG+ with Kakubuchi frame lines, has no splits, writing, or other serious problems. Has several minor flaws consisting of bumps at corners, small crease at bottom right corner, minor surface wear starting to appear, otherwise very nice. Classic abstract cover design by Gill Melle and Francis Wolfe. Overall a very presentable jacket.
Condition of vinyl is nice EX, a very fine sounding disc, has full original gloss, a few very slight scuffs and a hairline or two, no serious marks, plays beautifully with warm, rich fidelity. Has been played a very small number of times and handled with care. As with all my albums, your satisfaction is fully guaranteed. I think the winning bidder will be very pleased.
