MEGARARE original Music Hall Records very first MONO press released in Chile in 1965 by Music Hall Records, made and distributed by Corporación De Radio De Chile S.A. (CRC Records), licensed from the Argentinian label Music Hall and Music Hall got the license from CGD Records, catalog number 12.383, with hand etched matrix numbers 12383-A AA in Side 1 and 12383-B AA in Side 2, with traditional white/black Music Hall Records labels. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“GIGLIOLA CINQUETTI” is the debut album of Gigliola Cinquetti, originally released in 1964, but we had to wait until 1965 to see this great album released here in Chile and as usual in the period we got it with an UNIQUE COVER made of an only piece of thin cardboard folded in the middle with sheets of paper as front and back covers attached to the cardboard (only glued in the mouth edge), so 3 sides are opened faking a gatefold cover and kept all together for an outer plastic bag. Front and back covers keep strictly the original artwork of original Italian issue, with the only difference that in Chilean back cover the CGD Records logo is at top left corner, the full credits below the name of Franco Monaldi are not present and at top right corner it’s the Music Hall Records logo with catalog number (you can see and compare with the original Italian issue in this link: http://www.discogs.com/Gigliola-Cinquetti-Gigliola-Cinquetti/release/3632113). In back cover the tracklist is written in Ialian, translated to Spanish, and in labels the tracklist is written in Spanish only, with full credits for songwriters of each song. So, here you have the chance to own this debut album of Gigliola Cinquetti with an UNIQUE COVER, MONO SOUND and song titles written in Spanish in labels!!! WOW!!! Another great FIND!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great EX or EX+ condition, clean, complete, no ring marks, minimal wear in the mouth edge and corners, more evident in the back cover, with some creases and some minimal little rips, with a faint age browning and a little writing, “L1”, at top edge. The record is in strong NM- or NM condition both sides, glossy and clean, with only some minimal scuffs hard to see at first sight, no hairlines, no scratches. Labels are in absolute NM or NM+ condition both sides, clear and clean, with no marks or writings, only minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is in superb EX- or EX condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with some very light crackles and occasional soft pops here and there, more evident in some silent parts and between tracks, which of course don’t cause major distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, a great record with a glossy clean look, immaculate labels and great sound quality after 50 years, with no distortions, skips or repetitions at all, a record which won’t disappoint anyone!!! And keep in mind this album has an UNIQUE COVER, it’s a MONO PRESS and it has the song titles written in Spanish!!! WOW!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the cover and labels in detail.

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)

We have an unique value worldwide: 

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
