Grading

To help clarify your grading concerns here is a brief example:

(VG+)   Still sounds good but vinyl has many light paper scuffs along with the increased possibility of deeper surface marks. Record does not skip despite these possibilities. There may be cue-burn but usually not present. There may be an occasional tic or pop but these are tolerable and short lasting. These records are cleaned with gruv-glide record cleaner which helps correct and restore certain imperfections such as static, deep fingerprints and some of the above mentioned. Through my personal experience customers are still happy with this condition especially when dealing with records that are 20-30 years old.

(VG++)   An extremely high percentage of my records fall into this grade. There may be some very light paper scuffs but the vinyl still looks and plays great. There is plenty of shine and playback is free from distortion. May have some light dust with some few small fingerprints here and there. May also have a few medium scratches that does not affect playback. Light dust easily wipes away. This grading borders the mint minus grade in many cases and just misses the VG+ grading in other cases. If it’s on the high end of VG++ then I will usually indicate this by stating “strong” following VG++ telling you that it’s closer to Mint-. These records do not require any cleaning. Records that are listed with this grade are highly enjoyed and greatly appreciated with plenty of positive feedback!

(M-)  A near perfect record but a few small/light fingerprints and a tiny amount of dust narrowly misses the perfect mint rating. I would never clean this type of record. We’re talking near perfection here! 

(Mint)  Records that qualify for a mint rating look as if they were just opened and pulled from the jacket for the very first time. These records were opened and “may” have been played once but the appearance is flawless and without fingerprints. These records were opened but likely never played.

(Brand New Sealed)   Brand new Sealed means never opened and brand new just like you would find back in the day at your record store.

Remember: There is a fine line between all these grades so if you need added assurance or explanations please contact me first prior to buying or bidding.

Covers and inner sleeves: Every record will be shipped with an inner sleeve. The condition of these inner sleeves will definitely vary. I do not grade these. The outer covers will always be included and nearly all of them (not all) are with original covers. If the original cover is badly damaged then I sometimes replace it with a black or white substitute. This is rare but does happen. Every record will always include an inner and outer sleeve. I do not include a clear outer protection sleeve.

Labels:  I take one picture within my listings unless it’s a high priced item. I almost always take a photo of the A- side. This is usually the more popular side. I will indicate any writing or stickers in the above “vinyl grading” section. Writing on labels usually consists of names, initials and/or bpm’s. If you are concerned about writing on B-sides please contact me first for verification but it is usually mentioned. One of the terms I use is… WOL (writing on label) -

Feedback

I will leave feedback once feedback has been left for me first. This tells me that you are happy with your purchase. There are moments when customers will ask me to leave feedback shortly after payment. I don’t feel comfortable doing this so please don’t ask. I understand that you take feedback seriously but the sale isn’t complete until you receive your record and satisfied. If something is not right please contact me first prior to leaving neutral or negative feedback. My primary goal is your happiness and repeat business.

SHIPPING

USPS media shipping within the USA is just $4.00 for the first record and only $1.25 each after (no limit). Double sets count as two records.  Payment is due within seven days.

Canada/Spain USPS priority shipping is $9.00 for the first record and just $3.00 each after (no limit).  Double sets count as two records. 

Overseas USPS priority shipping (Germany, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Poland, France, Mexico etc.) is $13.00 for the first record and just $3.50 each after (no limit). I always mark records as “gift” and declare a low overall value at around one dollar per record. I also indicate that the records are used. Invoices will NOT be sent with your order. Return address labels are not my store name. Double sets count as two records. 

Packing Materials - I always use brand new record boxes designed for mailing records. Your order will arrive in a professional manner. Every package will have a large fragile sticker placed on the front of the package.

Returns - In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your purchase due to grading or some other reason then I encourage you to contact me prior to filing a claim and/or leaving neutral or negative feedback. I work alone and personally handle every order from beginning to end. This leaves little room for error. If the record does not meet your expectations I will ask for the record back. Returns must be requested within 3 days of receiving the record. I must receive the record back in the exact same condition to honor refund. I will refund the full purchase price and the shipping both ways once I receive the record. Make sure to use usps media mail with delivery confirmation.
